Hidden tang Fat-back Puukko
Hand forged from reclaimed 5160 steel, this Finnish Puukko knife was built for bushcraft. The razor sharp blade was brought to a fine polish, while the flats were left with a forged finish for a rustic contrast. The spine measures a hefty 1/4” thick which makes it perfect for the user to baton into wood. The blade measures 5” from tip to plunge, and 10.75” overall. The hidden tang is set into a 3 piece framed handle made from dyed and stabilized burl and zebra wood, and a hammer finished solid copper bolster. The handle is secured on mechanically with a single peened brass pin.
The hand made, weatherproof leather sheath was made by Aly. It features a picturesque mountain range scene with bear and wolf tracks, that were meticulously hand tooled and painted.
